Instructions for Authors

(English Version)

General informations
The Journal of Functional Ventilation and Pulmonology (JFVP) is the scientific journal of clinical practice and basic research. It is a bilingual journal (English and French) with a peer review committee. The scientific knowledge and opinions expressed in the published articles are those of the authors. All manuscripts submitted to the JFVP for publication will be evaluated by a member of the Scientific Committee and an outside expert.

Submission of manuscript
The manuscript will be submitted directly on the website of JFVP: http://jfvpulm.com via the heading "Submit Manuscript" which is found in the homepage. Authors are invited to consult the "Intruction for Authors" section containing information on "Conformity of Manuscript" before accessing the "Submit Manuscript" section on the home page to send the manuscript to the Editorial Committee of JFVP and the Editor-in-Chief via the automatic administrative management system. All questions concerning the preparation and status of manuscripts will be sent to the Journal Staff by e-mail: jfvp.editeur@gmail.com. The manuscript can be submitted via the email: jfvp.editeur@gmail.com or sduongquy.jfvp@gmail.com

Preparation of manuscript
The manuscript submitted to the JFVP must be conformed to the recommendations.

Style
The manuscript must be written in a style that respects the English or French grammatical structure for the corresponding version. The translation of the texts published in bilingual version (French - English, English - French) will be handled by the bilingual staff and will be revised by the members of the Editorial Committee of the Journal.
Text typography
The manuscript must be in A4 format and double spaced. The numbering of the pages must be respected with the number 1 for the title page. "Times New Roman" or "Arial" fonts with body 12 will be used. Underlining, color and fat should be avoided.
Presentation of the manuscript
a) Title page
Including: - The title; - The list of authors; - The list of affiliations
b) Abstract and Keywords in English (or French for the French version)
- For the Original Articles, the Abstract including 4 parts: - Introduction; - Methods; - Results; - Conclusions
- For Case Report, the Abstract including 3 parts: - Introduction; - Clinical Observation; - Conclusion
- For General Reviews: - Introduction; - State of knowledge; - Prospects; - Conclusions
Keywords: 5 words maximum
Body of the text
For the Original Articles, the structuring is as follows: - Introduction; - Material and Methods; - Results; - Discussions; - Conclusions
For General Reviews: Free Style
Acknowledgement
Authors may freely mention the individuals, organizations and companies that helped them to carry out the published work.
Bibliography
In the following format (Vancouver format).
The name of the authors: the name precedes the initial of the first names and is separated by a space.
Each author name is separated by a comma.
For the works: the list of coordinators (name and initials of the first name).
The title of the newspaper in italics, the year of publication without separator other than a space, followed by a semicolon and then the volume number itself followed by colon and then pages.
Tables
The Tables are quoted in the text, in italics, in order of use and numbered in arable digits (Table 1, Table 2, ...).
The abbreviations used in a Table must be explained in the legend.
Figures and legends
The Figures are quoted in the text in order of use and numbered in Arabic numerals according to the following format: (Figure 1, Figure.2, ...).
The use of Figures is recommended to present the results and facilitate reading.
The number of Figures is not limited in the JFVP.

Informations générales 
Le Journal de la Fonction Ventilatoire et de Pneumologie (JFVP) est le journal scientifique de la pratique clinique et de recherche fondamentale. Il s’agit d’un journal bilingue (français et anglais) possédant le comité de lecture. Les connaissances scientifiques et opinions exprimées dans les articles publiés sont celles de leurs auteurs. Tous les manuscrits soumis au JFVP pour la publication seront évalués par un membres du Comité Scientifique et un expert extérieur.

Soumission d’un manuscrit 
Le manuscrit sera soumis directement sur le site de JFVP : http://jfvpulm.com via la rubrique « Soumission de Manuscrit » qui se retrouve dans la page d’accueil. Les auteurs sont sollicités à consulter la rubriques « Recommandations aux Auteurs » contenant l’information sur « Conformité du Manuscrit » avant d’accéder au rubrique « Soumission de Manuscrit » située à la page d’accueil afin d’envoyer le manuscrit au Comité de Rédaction du JFVP  et l’Editeur en Chef via le système de gestion administrative automatique. Toutes les questions concernant la préparation et le statut des manuscrits seront adressés au secrétariat du Journal par courrier électronique : jfvp.editeur@gmail.com,  sduongquy.jfvp@gmail.com.

Préparation d’un manuscrit 
Le manuscrit soumis au JFVP doit être conforme aux recommandations.

Style 
Le manuscrit doit être rédigé dans un style respectant la structure grammaticale française ou anglaise pour la version correspondante. La traduction des textes publiés en version bilingue (français – anglais, anglais – français) sera prise en charge par les collaborateurs bilingues et sera relu par les membres du Comité de Rédaction du Journal.
Typographie du texte 
Le manuscrit doit être présenté au format A4 et en double interligne. La numérotation des pages doit être respectée avec le numéro 1 pour la page de titre. Les polices de caractère « Times New Roman » ou « Arial » avec le corps 12 seront utilisées. Les soulignements, la couleur et le gras doivent être évitées.
Présentation du manuscrit 
a) Page de titre
Comprenant: - Le titre; - La liste des auteurs; - La liste des affiliations
b) Résumé et mots-clés en français (ou anglais pour la version anglaise)
- Pour les Articles originaux, les résumés comprenant 4 parties: - Introduction; - Méthodes; - Résultats; - Conclusions
- Pour les Cas cliniques, les résumés comprenant 3 parties: - Introduction; - Observation clinique; - Conclusion
- Pour les revues générales: - Introduction; - Etat des connaissances; - Perspectives; - Conclusions
Mots-clés : 5 mots au maximum
Corps du texte 
Pour les Articles originaux, la structuration est la suivante: - Introduction; - Matériel et Méthodes; - Résultats; - Discussions; - Conclusions
Pour les Revues générales: style libre
Remerciements 
Les auteurs peuvent mentionner librement les personnes, les organismes et les sociétés qui les ont aidé pour réaliser les travaux publiés.
Bibliographie 
Selon le format suivant (format de Vancouver).
Le nom des auteurs: le nom précède l’initiale des prénoms et est séparé par un espace.
Chaque nom d’auteur est séparé par une virgule.
Pour les ouvrages : la liste des coordonnateurs (nom et initiales du prénom).
Le titre du journal en italique, l’année de publication sans séparateur autre qu’un espace, suivie d’un point-virgule et puis le numéro de volume lui-même suivi de deux-points et puis des pages.
Tableaux 
Les tableaux sont cités dans le texte, en italique, par ordre d’utilisation et numérotés en chiffres arables (Tableau 1, Tableau 2, …).
Les abréviations utilisées dans un tableau doivent être explicitées dans la légende.
Figures et légendes 
Les figures sont citées dans le texte par ordre d’utilisation et numérotées en chiffres arabes selon le format suivant : (Figure 1, Figure.2,…).
L’utilisation de figures est recommandée pour présenter les résultats et faciliter la lecture 
Le nombre de figures n’est pas limité dans le JFVP.
